New Moon In Aquarius: Tuesday February 1st, 2022

Blog Post Synopsis

Within this blog post, we will be discussing the upcoming new Moon in the sign Aquarius and how you can use it as a tool for healing, introspection and self mastery.

How to Use This Blog

The reason I create horoscopes is so that they can be used as a tool for introspection and reflection. I recognize, when observing the outside world from a general perspective, we receive very little encouragement to work on developing and understanding our inner world. Use the information provided in this blog for material to prompt guided introspection.

Background Information

When using Astrology as a tool for healing and introspection (within the realm of Natal Astrology), the planets can be viewed as energies that represent different parts of our nature. They show us that we are comprised of many parts that make a whole. The signs of the zodiac can be viewed as the atmosphere that the different parts of nature (the planets) express themselves through. From this view point, interpreting horoscopes can be easier to digest and more practical for immediate implementation.

What You Came For

On Tuesday February 1st, 2022 there will be a new Moon in the air sign Aquarius. For those that are familiar with me, you know I enjoy breaking things down so we can arrive at a common ground and gain greater clarity. We will be breaking down the following:

(Tuesday February, New Moon, Aquarius)

Every day of the week is ruled by one of the traditional seven planets within our solar system. The traditntal seven planets refer to the planets that can be seen with our naked eyes, and yes the Sun and Moon are included.

Here is a list of the days of the week and their corresponding planets:

  1. Sunday- Sun Day

  2. Monday - Moon Day

  3. Tuesday- Mars Day

  4. Wednesday- Mercury Day

  5. Thursday- Jupiter Day

  6. Friday- Venus Day

  7. Saturday- Saturn Day

Tuesday is the day of the week ruled by the planet Mars. From a general Astrological view point, the planet Mars represents survival, separation, chaos and aggression. With moderation, these significations serve a purpose and play a vital role in our lives. Being able to assert ourselves, enforce boundaries and do what is necessary for our survival, allows us to live a life free of contention and resentment.

Moving on to the second part of the equation, February. February is the shortest month of the year, and for those of us living on the Northern Hemisphere, February is also often called the coldest month of the year. The connection I see here is with the age old quote, “It is darkest before dawn”. I say this because February is the month before spring, the season that shifts us out of the darkness of winter and begins our ascension into the light of the approaching summer solstice. The month of February shows us that when our lives get to the height of its darkness, light is just around the corner.

Next we have the New Moon part of the equation. New Moons represent, amongst other things, the start of something new. On the most basic level, the New Moon represents the beginning of a new month.

Did you know the concept of a month came as a result of the Moon’s orbit around the Earth? The Moon takes approximately 27.5 days to make a full revolution around the Earth.

During this phase of the Moon, its illumination starts at complete darkness and grows to what we see during the time of a full Moon, which is one hundred percent brightness. From a Natal Astrological perceptive, the Moon also represents our emotional nature. This is the side of us that is often hidden and is usually only exposed when we feel safe. Although the Moon can be seen in the day at certain points during the month, the Moon is associated with making an appearance in the darkness of night. This is comparable to the more vulnerable parts of nature coming out when there is more quiet and stillness around us.

Lastly, we have the zodiac sign Aquarius. Aquarius an extroverted, fixed air sign, ruled by the planets Saturn and Uranus. Saturn within the context of Natal Astrology represents our responsible and structured nature that is heavily reliant on the 3D world. Uranus within this context represents our inner eccentric and spontaneous nature.

Conclusion

Putting all the components together, on February 1st, 2022, the new Moon in Aquarius will be bring your attention to an area of your life that may feel particularly hopeless and shrouded with darkness. Adapting to the changes within that area may feel impossible, however, it is possible. Using your inner genius to think outside of the box can provide you with some relief and a possible solution to your perceived problems. Your ability to assert yourself, especially during a time of challenge and uncertainty, will expose your true character. Learning how to respond to life, as opposed to react to it, will allow you to exist from a more grounded and level headed position.
