Full Moon In Leo: Wednesday February 16th, 2022

Blog Post Synopsis

Within this blog post, we will be discussing the upcoming full Moon in the sign Leo and how you can use it as a tool for healing, introspection and self mastery. Get your journal, it is time to reflect!

How to Use This Blog

The reason I create horoscopes is so that they can be used as a tool for introspection and reflection. I recognize, when observing the outside world from a general perspective, we receive very little encouragement to work on developing and understanding our inner world. Use the information provided in this blog for material to prompt guided introspection.

Background Information

When using Astrology as a tool for healing and introspection (within the realm of Natal Astrology), the planets can be viewed as energies that represent different parts of our nature. They show us that we are comprised of many parts that make a whole. The signs of the zodiac can be viewed as the atmosphere that the different parts of nature (the planets) express themselves through. From this view point, interpreting horoscopes can be easier to digest and more practical for immediate implementation.

What You Came For

On Wednesday February 16th, 2022 there will be a full Moon in the sign Leo. Full Moons are a time of magnification and illumination. The Moon controls the tides within the ocean, and considering the fact that we are over 70% water, the Moon can stir up our inner waters, which can result in feelings of anxiety, excitement and all around restlessness. From a natal Astrological view point, the Moon represents our emotional self, the side of our nature that is the most vulnerable to hostility and judgement. This is why we tend to only expose this side of ourselves in environments and with those that we trust and feel comfortable with. As mentioned above, the signs of the zodiac can be viewed as atmospheres that the planets or parts of our nature express themselves through. Leo is an extroverted, fixed, fire sign ruled by the Sun and is associated with the heart. Feelings of inspiration and creativity are no strangers to Full Moon’s in the sign Leo.

The sign Leo teaches us how to simultaneously be our inner cheerleader and source of light. Creativity, movement, humour and pleasure can be aids for discovering our inner cheerleader and our inner source of light incase you feel disconnected from them. I encourage you to hold space and take part in the exercise below, especially for those of us that feel disconnected from these vital parts of our essence.

Full Moon Introspective Exercise + Journal Prompts

If you can, carve out a moment of your day today to be with yourself, preferable when the sun goes down. Bring your attention to your beating heart using deep belly breaths in and out through your nose. As you inhale, imagine all the things that prevent you from shining your light and as you exhale, imagine your light coming from your heart and the voltage being turned up. Do this until you feel as bright as the Full Moon. Once you find yourself feeling comfortable and open, here are a few journal prompts you can reflect on.

Journal Prompts

  • What exactly is blocking my light from shining?

  • How long has this blockage existed?

  • What would my life look like if this blockage was removed?

  • What can I do to remove this blockage?

Conclusion

The phases of the Moon and the movement of the planets impact us on an energetic level. Connecting with their movements can be a tremendous aid for those of us wanting to understand ourselves and the world around us more. An effective way to do this is through the actions of reflection and introspection. Although the process can feel emotionally overwhelming, challenging or even draining at times, the more you become acquainted with this process, the more peaceful and fluent it will become. Only you can truly understand and heal your inner world, so I encourage you to find satisfaction in getting to know yourself. You will be surprised how much you life will change!
