New Moon in Libra: September 25th, 2022

How to Use This Blog

I create horoscopes because they can be used as a tool for introspection and reflection. When observing the outside world from a general perspective, I recognize that we receive very little encouragement from working on developing and understanding our inner world. Use the information provided in this blog for material to prompt guided introspection.

Background Information

When using Astrology as a tool for healing and introspection (within the realm of Natal Astrology), the planets can be viewed as energies representing different parts of our nature or frequencies that resonate with and influence different parts of our nature. They show us that we are comprised of many parts that make a whole. The zodiac signs can be viewed as the atmospheres through which the different parts of our nature (the planets) express themselves. Lastly, the astrological houses can be considered as the various life areas that make up our lives. From this viewpoint, interpreting horoscopes can be easier to digest and more practical for immediate implementation.

Reminder: The study of Astrology is from the perspective of the Earth looking out towards the cosmos. In other words, Astrology is an Earth-based natural science. Having this piece of context at the back of the mind can be a helpful best practice when discussing anything related to the study of Astrology.

Full Moon and New Moon 101

Full Moons are always in the opposite sign of the Sun. For example, on May 16th, 2022, there was a total lunar eclipse in the sign Scorpio, and the Sun was in the sign Taurus. Scorpio and Taurus are opposites signs. On the other hand, New Moons always occur within the same sign, the Sun. For example, On July 28th the Sun was in the sign Leo, along with the new Moon.

What You Came For

On Sun-day, September 25th, 2022, there will be a new Moon in the air sign Libra. This new Moon synergizes with the planet Jupiter, revealing the opportunity to experience ease and maturity in how we understand the needs of our relationships. Expanding ourselves both spiritually and emotionally will be necessary to reap the rewards of this cosmic alignment. What we may find intercepting our ability to harness this internal connection is desiring perfection and leaving no wiggle room in how each party communicates their needs, wants and wishes, which is exemplified by Mercury retrograde in the sign Virgo.

Libra 101

The atmosphere of the sign Libra teaches us how to exist in a space where we are accommodating within our relationships of all kinds, so a win-win-win outcome is possible. This fluidity displays the reality that many roads lead to the desired destination, so aside from attachment, there is no particular need to do something in only one way. I often hear the concept of compromise when discussing creating harmony in relationships, and I have realized that compromise has a higher propensity to lead to resentment than harmony. Resentment is the feeling of bitterness that results from being treated unfairly and is another lesson that the sign Libra can teach us. Fairness and equality are hallmarks of the Libra, which extend to the environment and the plant and animal kingdoms. When we create or find ourselves in situations where the parties involved do not feel heard, acknowledged or accounted for, frustration and anger can arise. Libra’s atmosphere shows us that finding a way to approach your relationships with fluidity by staying aligned with our “why” can prevent resentment from forming. It can also help us avoid feeling held hostage or as if we are holding the other party hostage. The “why” we want to be grounded in is why we are nurturing the relationship altogether.

Horoscope

Our relationships mirror the relationship we have with ourselves. While this may sound like common knowledge, reflecting on who we are with those we feel the most vulnerable will provide insight into how our relationship with ourselves is really doing. In this state of vulnerability, we can observe ourselves and learn whether we are who we think we are or if we reflect who we think the world wants us to be. When we allow ourselves to become a caricature of our natural essence, self-abandonment and self-erasure can be focal points for understanding to promote self-healing. Realizing that we are never alone because we are with ourselves is an important reality to accept to live peacefully. If not, we will constantly look outside ourselves to understand our true formless form, which will always lead us away from ourselves because knowing thyself comes from within.

Journal Prompts:

Think of your relationships and ask yourself the following:

What am I receiving from this relationship?

Is what I am receiving from this relationship worth it? Why or why not?

What am I giving to this relationship?

Is what I am giving to this relationship draining me in any way? If so, how and is it worth it?

What am I losing from this relationship?

Do I accommodate the other party in this relationship?

Am I compromising or settling in the relationship?

Is the other party accommodating me in this relationship?

Is the other party compromising or settling in this relationship?

How do I erase who I am to be more palatable in my relationships?

Have I ever abandoned myself in an attempt not to be alone?

Conclusion

Observing how we show up in our intimate connections can provide insight into how we truly feel about ourselves. Compromising what we want with the hopes of not being alone is a form of self-abandonment and self-erasure that eventually leads to resentment. We can prevent resentment from forming by prioritizing our relationship with ourselves because we are always with ourselves. Doing so will create a solid and enduring foundation for all future relationships to flourish. A helpful starting point can be reflecting on how you compromise what you want to be accepted by the world. Finding a way to accommodate your awareness of what you need to recognize your alignment while maintaining a grip on reality will make you unstoppable.
