New Moon In Pisces: Wednesday March 2nd, 2022

Blog Post Synopsis

Within this blog post, we will be discussing the upcoming new Moon in the sign Pisces and how you can use it as a tool for healing, introspection and self mastery. Get your journal, it is time to reflect!

How to Use This Blog

The reason I create horoscopes is so that they can be used as a tool for introspection and reflection. I recognize, when observing the outside world from a general perspective, we receive very little encouragement to work on developing and understanding our inner world. Use the information provided in this blog for material to prompt guided introspection.

Background Information

When using Astrology as a tool for healing and introspection (within the realm of Natal Astrology), the planets can be viewed as energies that represent different parts of our nature. They show us that we are comprised of many parts that make a whole. The signs of the zodiac can be viewed as the atmosphere that the different parts of nature (the planets) express themselves through. From this view point, interpreting horoscopes can be easier to digest and more practical for immediate implementation.

What You Came Here For

On Wednesday March 2nd, 2022, there will be a new Moon in the water sign Pisces. I have noticed that New and full Moons in water signs are particularly interesting and generally more challenging for the collective to experience when contrasted with signs of other elements. I think this is because our society has created a “this verses that” situation between our emotional and mental facilities, putting more value on the mental, (logical and linear thinking), over the emotional, (intuitive and emotional sensing).

The roots of patriarchy run deep and I say this because logical and linear thinking are expressions of masculine energy. The mere fact that mental intelligence is called intelligence, as if it is the ONLY intelligence, displays this imbalance and overall preference for masculine energy. There are an abundance of institutions for developing our mental intelligence, however, the same cannot be said for developing our emotional intelligence. As a result, our emotional facilities has collectively been under developed, making it challenging for us to healthily experience, embrace and express our emotions.

The Moon from a Natal Astrological perspective, represents our emotional self. The part of us that requires the use of feminine energy to operate efficiently and effectively- and this goes for both men and women. New Moons represent a period of renewal and emergence and with the upcoming new Moon in the sign Pisces, the last sign of the zodiac, this new Moon represents the beginning of the end of a cycle. Similar to winter beginning its last leg of the seasonal race, collectively we are also experiencing the ending of our hibernation for the upcoming spring season. (Aries represents the spring equinox and the start of the natural new year.)

The sign Pisces teaches us how to develop contentment by using faith and trust for oneself, others and the world around us. Compassion, empathy and gentle acceptance are high vibrational hallmarks for the sign Pisces, but like all things in life, there is a flip side. Delusion, denial and escapism are the low vibrational hallmarks of the water sign and these qualities have a way of sneaky up on us. The desire to escape when experiencing a challenge, or our reliance on false optimism as a solution for our practical problems are displays of these low vibrational hallmarks. At this time, we are going to find our faith and trust for the process be tested in ways that will bring up emotions that we previously quelled with our vices. Feeding into our vices will only perpetuate the cycle that we now have the opportunity of breaking out of.

Questions To Ask Yourself:

  • What cycle am I perpetuating?

  • What vice do I run to as a way to escape?

  • What emotion am I afraid of experiencing/expressing?

  • How can I embrace the emotion instead of run from it?

New Moon Exercise

What You Will Need

  • Two pieces of paper

  • A pen or something to write with

  • A safe space where you will be undisturbed for between 20 minutes to 1 hour

  • A bathroom or toilet

On Wednesday March 2nd, 2022, give yourself between 20 minutes to an hour, preferably at the end of your day, to take a moment to be alone with yourself. Set a mood by maybe lighting candles, burning incense, brewing your favourite cup of tea or maybe playing a high frequency sound bath quietly in the background and get comfortable.

Quiet the outside noise of the world by bringing your focus to yourself and your breathing. As you inhale, imagine you are drawing in unfiltered energy through your feet upwards towards your heart and purifying that energy so it can be exhaled back into the world. Exhale and repeat until you feel centred and relaxed.

Once relaxed, take out your writing utensil and piece of paper and in the upper right hand corner, write out the date. Next, where ever you please on the piece of paper, write out the numbers 1-3 leaving about 4 lines worth of space between each number. Starting at number 1, write the number one cycle, habit or thing you would like to leave behind, along with why you desire to let this cycle, habit or thing go. Once complete, do the same thing for numbers 2 and 3. Take a moment and remember the last time you used this habit, cycle or thing and then thank it for being there for you. Imagine what your life would look, feel, smell, taste and sound like once whatever you are releasing is released. Now release it.

Repeat the same breathing exercise above to recenter yourself. Once centred, take the piece of paper with what you desire to let go and rip it up into tiny pieces. Take those pieces and bring it into the bathroom and flush it down the toilet and imagine it completely leaving your life.

Return to the place you previously wrote your first list and on a separate piece of paper write out the numbers 1-3 leaving about 4 lines worth of space between each number. This time you are going to write out the new cycles, habits or things you would like to consciously give your attention to for this upcoming new year. Starting at number 1, write the number one cycle, habit or thing you would like to bring into your life, along with why you desire to welcome it into your life. Once complete, do the same thing for numbers 2 and 3. Take a moment and Imagine what your life would look, feel, smell, taste and sound like when experiencing whatever you are welcoming into your life. Now embrace it. End your session by giving gratitude to god, the universe etc.

Conclusion

Collectively, we have the opportunity to graduate and begin a new chapter of our lives. In order for us to do this, we must release the cycles, habits and things that no longer serve our highest Good by bravely confronting our personal self imposed limitations that influence us to continue living in a scarcity mindset. Your emotions are valuable pieces of information. Embrace them regardless of what they feel like. Once we feel them, we neutral their effect/ impact. You are the only one that can do this for yourself. The choice is yours.
